The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy (ZID) joined the Embassy of Brazil in celebrating Brazil’s Independence Anniversary and National Day, following a cordial engagement with H.E. Ambassador Vilmar R. Coutinho Junior.

Held at the Chancery of the Embassy of Brazil in Harare, the event brought together diplomats, government officials and guests from various sectors. Ambassador Vilmar R. Coutinho Junior noted that “Brazil deeply values its relationship with African nations, particularly Zimbabwe and emphasized the role of diplomacy in promoting shared growth, peace and solidarity.”

The Guest of Honour, Honourable Shiela Chikomo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, highlighted ” the robust diplomatic relationship between Brazil and Zimbabwe that has promoted cooperation between the two countries in areas including agriculture and research”.
