Pride, accomplishment and celebration filled the Crowne Plaza Monomotapa Hotel on Friday, 4 September 2026, as the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy (ZID) honoured graduates of its Executive Certificate Programme during a memorable graduation ceremony.
The occasion brought together diplomats, professionals, graduates and their families to mark the successful completion of the programme and to recognise the graduates’ commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.
The Guest of Honour, His Excellency Dr. Tamar Almassri, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Zimbabwe, congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to uphold the values of professionalism, integrity and constructive engagement in their respective fields. He highlighted the important role of diplomacy in fostering dialogue, cooperation and mutual understanding in today’s interconnected world.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador V.A. Chikanda, ZID Chairperson and Principal Lecturer, commended the graduates for their dedication and reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to developing competent professionals equipped with practical skills in diplomacy, protocol, leadership and international relations.
The graduation ceremony reflected ZID’s continued contribution to capacity building and professional excellence, as graduates joined a growing network of alumni committed to making a positive impact in their organisations, communities and beyond.
